I have completed installing identical cradles on both my HD Ultra and our GW 1800 Motortrike. The installs were fairly easy and without problem. I used two different antennas both offer about the same coverage. I currently have the HD wired with an audio output cord. However I didn't have the proper wire/connections to wire the GW with audio cable so I am using FM signal 97.9. I can tell a quality difference between the audio cable and the FM signal with the audio cable being superior. The needed audio cable will be here tomorrow from Amazon. I made a metal bracket which I used Gorilla double sided tape to mount the bracket to the top of the brake reservoir. Would I get better reception if I ran a ground wire from the bracket to the bike frame? Or does someone have a better suggestion. Bill

You don't say what year your bike is. But in my 2010 GW in the left side pocket. Take out the tray and the Auxiliary radio hook up for the radio is in the harness under the pocket cover. I also connected the holder to the pockets cover. Not the best but only place I could find that doesn't interfere with anything. It was a simple plug N play for my XM head.

The picture you can see I wrapped the head up to take rains a bit better as its not water proof without a cover.

Used Ram Mounts for my GPS and XM Radio. Both powered from the Accessory switch. XM antenna is on the Tourpak. Both covered with a rain covers.

I have a rain cover just havent gotten to putting it on. Its on my Yamaha at the moment. I will shortly now that its rainy season down here.

The bag was just for the shorter showers we get dailey.

Now its torrential sub tropical heavy rains. The bag wont help with that.

On my 2nd head already.
