World record attempt for most harley davidsons in a parade

Someone on FB turned me on to this, and I'll be going with my wife. Figured I'd spread the word.

October 5th in Paris, Tx.

2,400 is the record? Rolling Thunder has over 500k Harleys.

And this coming Memorial Day weekend will be the final Rolling Thunder Ride for Freedom. If you had it on your bucket list, you better make plans or it will be the one that got away!

I think we'll have over a million this year. I have 2 rooms booked - just in case one decides to jack up the price.

I was told that last year or the year before, they had some metric bikes in the ride and were told by Guiness that it had to be ONLY HD bikes, no metrics allowed. I'll be doing some other cruising around here in S/e Texas before the trip, haven't had more than 200 miles round trip yet on the triglide. Even if the record doesn't fall, I think it'll be a good time anyway.

We did it!

3497 Harleys in a parade, over a 3.8 mile route.

I heard there were over 5K registered bikes, my headlight number was 3567.

We got there at 9am, didn't get KSU until almost 2pm, but the wait was worth it. It was a hot day, and it took longer than expected, but we did it!

The Guinness guy said it was 2 hours and 38 minutes from the time the first bike went past him until the last bike went past the finish line.

If you want to, look it up on YouTube, Bring It Home 2019, there's a bunch of videos there.

The proceeds went to http://www.motorcycle-missions.org/, a charity that helps Vets building motorcycles as therapy. I'll find some pics of the one they had on display.
