Working on another trike build

Been a while since I have been here to visit. Working on trikeing a 05 Dyna Super Glide. I wanted another trike but wanted some extra power for pulling a trailer and mountains. I built the engine last summer. I went for torque not HP, Ended up with 108 tq at 2,000 rpms and climbs to 146 tq.
Going to do a mystery bare bones kit, not body at the moment. I may add the detachable body later on. I am finishing up my trailer. I am going to use a single wheel trailer. Picked it up in N.C..
I am waiting on the kit to come in. Finished my specialty mount I wanted to eliminate any tilting. I will use the trailer on my 2 wheel and 3 wheel bikes/trike. The tilting was bugged me. The movement of the trailer hitch into the bike hitch. It was nothing but bugging me. Nothing more. Got that finished today. No more movement at all. Solid now.

Went from 88ci to 113 ci
Stage 5 head work with all the trimmings
Welded, pinned, balanced and trued crank with light weight H rods
SS585 cams
Baker OD 6 speed with custom gearing.
SE cam plate
primo clutch. Got to be a adult to use this clutch
Much much more.
@2,000 rpms, tq 108, hp 97
@5,800 rpms, tq 139, hp 127
The super glide weighs 580lbs.
Not really fast but it is quick. I was after torque. I got what I wanted.
I played with it this past summer and now I am ready to finish the project.
I am very happy with the results.

Got it going thanks to pro twin performance.
Making some adjustments for comfort. Added the 7 degree triple tree. I am very impressed with how it is made, materials use, and the craftsmanship.
It out handles my CSC performance cobra goldwing did. It will eat the curves. I am experienced trike rider and I came no where close to pushing it through the curves.



I will enjoy this trike I believe.

finished with the 7 degree triple tree installed.

not a good photo but here is the exhaust I did. That was a trip. The trike sits really low in the back so I did not have much of a choice for mufflers. I ended up using the old style off road screaming eagle mufflers. I really wanted to use at least a 2 inch inlet to the mufflers but all of em I had was to large in diameter. This is a big bore that needs big pipes. The headers are 2 inch and goes to 2.5 inches outlet from the header. It pulls really good but I know I lost quiet a bit of power having to reduce the inlet.

I know you will be a lot happier with this engine than the stock engine. That is the one mistake a lot of builders make, the extra wheel and weight means the need for more snort. I commend you, going about it the right way. Ride safe.

I have had trikes before and learned they are different in every way. Especially power. The 113 pulls it good but I think I may go to a 70 tooth rear or a 30 tooth front. It has plenty of power to pull it and the trailer with ease. I will make a trip on it first and see what I need to do. One of the better parts of it is the wheel stands are less now. Before I had to pay attention when my wife was with me it came up easy. Now it is better. It still brings it up but easily controlled now.
With the short time I have rode it I can tell a difference in my leg pain. I have a lot less now.

Very nice - I like the adjustable a-arms for caster and camber. what are your dimensions width vs length?
I would guess 59" x 72" ??

I have found this to be the "magic number" myself.
