As some of you know, the senior HOA complex we live in here in Florida has had a No Motorcycle Rule in our covenants and by-laws for a long time. Four years ago, several of us riders got enough owner signatures to put a rule change on the ballot at our annual meeting, it missed passing by only 23 out of 265 owner votes. Our trike is at a storage unit 5 minutes from the house, close but definitely not ideal.

In the past few years there have been a lot of younger people moving in, (must be at least 55), a lot of the folks want to bring their bikes down that are snowbirds also so we thought we would try again to get it passed. Our annual meeting is over, it passed and now we are allowed to have the bikes at our residence, we are happy campers to say the least.

And as long as some one doesn't move in with the loud pipes saves lives way of thinking.. Thats probably why the thinking for the no bikes in the first place...

I second this post 100%... There's always going to be one person to ruin this, "mark my words" here... One person with those stupid loud pipes,:blush::blush:

The way we worded the rule change ( there were several provisions included), was that loud pipes would not be tolerated and at the discretion of the board of directors. We have 9 members on the board and they are all good people so we're hoping that clause never needs invoking.

I'm making some phone calls tomorrow to see about putting double doors on our 12 X 18 shed, right now the trike is not going to fit through the only one there as it's 32" wide, lol.

Thanks to everyone who replied, it's been a long road to get this done.

Loud noise is always been a question as to the meaning of loud !

You will need to have a db limit to CYA if the question arises.
