Windshield View

We just sold our springer and bought a 2013 TriGlide. I will ride as a passenger but also have a Motorcycle license and want to ride it myself but the windshield bags and the piece they are attached to seem to block my view. Do you have to completely replace the windshield or is there a way to take off the bag attachment with out ruining the current windshield configuration?

There are three screws on the front of the fairing by the windshield.loosen then up and pull the bags out..May even need to remove the whole screw to remove the bags..There is a lip on the back of the bag that squeezes in between the windshield and inner fairing.

Thanks, we just got it yesterday and did not have a lot of time to inspect the windshield attachment. Was hoping the lip part would come off too.

Have a friend who is vertically challenged. He has the 3pc windshield bag and didn't want to loose the storage, so he removed center bag.

When you replace your 3 windshield screws tighten them snug. DO NOT over tighten 'em, the thread bezel is just pressed into the fairing plastic and it's easy to strip out.

Thank you for the replies. I am new to this forum and Trikes! I rode it as a passenger and alone today. The windshield may be OK as is, verdict is still out. I must say I enjoy driving more than riding on back! I Have come to the conclusion, TRIKES ARE AWESOME

:Agree: Those inserts will pull out real easy if the screws are over tightned. If I remember correctly off hand, the torque is only 25 - 30 in/lbs.
