Wind buffeting

What have any of you done to help with wind buffeting that comes up from under the fairing? I have an FLHXXX and the air over my Clearview Windshield is calm. However, the hot, dry desert air is really annoying that is coming under the fairing. (110 the past few days.) On my 09 Electra Glide I put in one of those under fairing baffles. Can't do that on the trike because the steering damper is in the way. Has anyone tried these? Street Glide Wind Deflectors - Home Because of the way the turn signals are located on the TriGlide it looks like these should fit them too.

No help here as of yet but the air seems to be coming through the forks then getting channeled over the gas tank. I have been meaning to experiment a bit with this problem but my bikes are in storage while their new garage is being built.I really noticed it one day when the wind was blowing a lot of grit and debris around as I rode. Junk just kept being blown into my eyes under my geezer glasses. Not fun!

I wonder if they would interfere with the lowers on the Tri-glide? I also wonder if they would just deflect air coming under the fairing or take cooling air away from the engine. We sure don't need them running hotter.

Does your FLHXXX have one of these ?? >>>

If not, it will help with the air coming from under the fairing.

I use it. Had my son tack weld an extension on it to drop it down about 1 or 2 inches. Now it clears the stabilizer and works really good.

Do you have the crash bar on yours?

Was typing while you were posting a picture. I have the Moustache bar ordered. When it gets here I'll see how everything fits. I see you also have the fork mounted wind defectors, which was what I was posting about. How do they work?

Yep, crash bars and lowers. There is a thread over on another forum that shows pix and some discussion. I got some extra pix and email from Scooty, who figured it out. I'll PM you the link.

i had the deflecter attachment lengthened about 2 inches by j and l harley in sioux falls .this reduces buffeting and engine caused leg heat.it works.i also removed the plastic lowers.thanks for the suggestion!

the wind is comming from the fairing winglets. my fwd. footpegs are faceing inward and my knees almosy are under my wrist. if i cradle the gas tank with my legs the wing fuddeting almost goes away.
