Jeannette was having a nice day and decided to go for a walk. She lost her footing and fell on her face. She has a black eye and fat lip. Her right eyeglass lense and frame are broken. She seems in good spirits. She has a new eyeglasses perscription, so I will take her to get new eyeglasses tomorrow. Never a dull moment.

Leo you go take care of her until she feels much better. Keep her off her feet and you go clean, do dishes, cook, all that good stuff. LOL!!!

:) I didn't tell you the whole story. I'm ill too. Am stuffy and dizzy when I walk. Been in bed the last two days. What a mess we are... Hoping to be strong enough tomorrow to take her for new eyeglasses.

Jeannette, you have to watch where you are walking. Get better soon. WOW, both of you are not doing well, that's not good. If I lived closer I would have brought Leo hot chicken soup and Jeannette a cold pack for her eye and lip!
Janice wanted to know if your 4000 mile trip was too much for you Leo, that's why you are not doing well.
Hey you two, get better soon!

Jeannette may have problems with her progressive lenses. Maybe she has trouble judging distances. She has fallen before. Jeannette iced the bruises today, and it seems to have helped. Will see how she looks in the morning. As for me, I have been eating hot chicken soup. Hope to be on my feet tomorrow.

Not sure if the 4,000 mile trip was too much for me. Jeannette believes it was. Actually, I was in much better shape than when I went to Key West in the spring. My should therapy strengthened my arms, shoulders and lower back. Well, even if my illness is due to my long trip, you know this won't stop me in the future. The experience is worth any short term illness. :Trike1:

Thanks folks! We go on an ocean cruise at the end of the month, so we have incentive to get better. Hopefully, just a minor setback.

Leo and Jeanette, you two are definitely our "basket case of the day" candidates! So sorry about Jeanette's fall --- not a good day :(

Oh God, you two better BOTH get better soon! You MUST enjoy that cruise. Just hold onto railings, or each other whenever possible!

Folks, Thanks for all the comforting words. We sure had our share of health issues this year, but we also had many good times. Guess that's what life is all about.

Don't ya just hate when those kind of accidents happen and usually for no reason??!!

I hope she heals soon and is feeling much better now.

Jeannette, you will have to go back to the spots on your glasses. I had a friend who couldn't wear the progressive lenses, so he went back to spots. He was worse, he fell down the stairs, not good!
Janice says you are going to have to get used to them, once you do you will be fine. She says when you go down stairs, don't look at the stairs, look straight ahead. She had a hard time at first, but she did get used to them and now she is fine.
You know Leo, lobster stew is just as good as chicken soup and will make you feel better faster! pepper
Get better you two!

Don't let her out of the house! If the neighbors see her, you may be paid a visit by the local sheriff! Honest officer, I was in bed sick :Meds:
The best to both of you for speedy recoveries. I can't count how many falls Dianne has taken that resulted in black eyes or other visible bruises. Luckily, I usually have receipts to prove I was 1000 miles away on some trip or other. It also helps that both Doctors, Lawyers and friends have seen her fall. Keep those alibies handy.

That's it Coach we can send Jack over to help them, sure it would really help them get better. Anyway, Leo and Jeanette, sorry to hear that kind of news, so we will keep you in our prayers for a speedy recovery.

I only live 80 miles away, dont make me come over there to get things squared away like cleaning, dishes and wash!!!!!

Enjoy and Ride Safe!

I just caught this .I was busy looking at Motels for next year rally. Hope things are doing well and you are both on the mend. Was really quite different reading about your problems after actually meeting the 2 of you. Knowing you personally means a lot. Lobster stew is not better than Chicken soup but does taste better right Leo?

We both slept well last night. Jeannette is still sleeping. Her eye may not turn black. She has bruising/scraping on her right cheek bone and lip. Good she iced the affected areas right away. Never a dull moment...

Sorry to hear of the "Oopsie" and the "bug".
Wishing you both a quick recovery and Tons-O-Fun, rest and relaxation on the cruise ThumbUp
Take the trike along-those are some Big ole Boats :D

P.s. Progressive lenses make for a tough transition that many never totally adjust to. I can relate to the "DOH" moments that come from those myself.

Jeannette showed me her eye today, and she will definitely have a good shiner. :( Other than that, she is feeling pretty well. She even talked about going for a walk! :D It's a nice sunny day, and my congestion is breaking. Maybe I'll take her for a walk in the park. She is also busy planning for the cruise, so the injury hasn't slowed her down. Thank goodness we have something to look forward to.

Looking at Jeannette's glasses, I believe she is lucky she was wearing glasses. She may have injured her right eye. Look at the deep scratches in the right lense.

Jeannette and I went for a nice walk in the park. We are on the comeback. :)
