Who Owns a Bushtec Trailer?

Roadstar internal dementions

Anyone out there that has a Bushtec Roadstar could you give me the interior inside detentions between the wheel wells and the shock towers. I am wanting to know if my lawn chairs that measure 38L X 20 1/4W will lay flat on the bottom of the trailer? <img src="images/smilies/cool.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Cool" class="inlineimg" />

</div>If you don't have the optional spare tire kit, they will lay completely flat. If you do,one end will sit a few inches higher.

</div>Thank you for the quick reply. My question was what is the internal dimensions between the wheel/shock towers. I have tried to lay my lawn chairs flat in a couple of buddies different trailers and they were just about 1/2 in to narrow. Without having a Bushtec Roadstar available to measure I am hesitant to buy a new Bushtec Roadstar.

</div>The narrowest point inside is between the shock towers, Larry. That is distance is 22".

Your measurement is what I needed. In my first question I should have said I have a piece of plywood that is 201/4" wide and 38" long I want to lay it flat in the bottom of the trailer. The lawn chairs I have fold-up and lay flat like like the piece of plywood. My lawn chairs are not the kind you put into a bag.

I have the Turbo +2 and want have it repainted. Does anyone got an idea of cost?

What color is your trailer now and what color are you wanting to change it to?

The only painter I've talked to,quoted me around $1,000 to paint our Roadstar GT,to match our trike.

The bushtec Turbo is the white they offer. I am wanting the 2014 Harley black. I was thinking of taking the shell off of the frame and haul it into a paint shop. Less for them to do.

Modifying Turbo+2 to a Tow-Tow...?

Just wondered who besides me owns a Bushtec trailer. Heres a pic of the BushTec Turbo I setup for my Girl lobo...Works Great and she Loves it!

———What did you do to modify your Turbo+2 to a Tow-Tow...? I just purchased a 2012 Turbo+2 in Saskatchewan (picking up next month) and want to modify it to take my dawg touring with me. Also, is there a market for the Turbo+2 Lid withchrome rack and garment bag...? Thank you

Windshield and top for the Dawg...

Yep, they make a lid for just that purpose or I've seen them listed on eBay.

BUT let me bend your ear here a little on this subject. I have a 8 yr old 140# male Rottweiler that would love to go with me. He use to ride in my side car all the time and loved it. After removing the side car he was in panic mode every time I cranked the bike....but no place for him to ride, sorry big boy. Then I bought the BushTec Roadstar and had the very same thoughts of getting an extra lid, cutting a hole in it and making him a cockpit to go with me. THEN a vet friend of mine reminded me of something. A dogs hearing is 12-15 times greater than a humans and their smell upward from 1,000 to 10,000,000 times better than humans. Now you put your best friend back behind your bike with loud exhaust and exhaust fumes......I'll let you think about this a little.

I am wondering how much of a difference a curved windshield and marine canvas top would make for the dawg riding in the trailer...?

Purchasing 2012 Turbo+2... Want to convert to carry my Dawg

Has anyone converted their Bushtec trailer to carry their dawg with them... I know Bushtec makes the Tow Tow trailer for this (which is a Turbo+2 with a diffferent lid) that has a windscreen and a Bimini Top attachment...

If anyone has a Tow Tow Lid (for sale or trade) for a Turbo+2, that would do the conversion, I would purchase or trade the lid I have which also has the garment bag. Mine is white. The first three fotos are of my trailer... The other two are for what I wish to do to convert. The lid on mine will fit any other Turbo+2 or Tow Tow trailer if anyone wishes to do a trade...
