What's The Difference in 01-06 GL1800 Seats

Whats the difference (or is there) in the 01-06 GL1800 seats other than heated & non heated? Looking to replace the OEM seat on my 02 with one from an 04 but part numbers are different. Want to be sure of fit before ordering

I'm not sure why the part number changed. There are basically 3 seats used from 01-10. All will mount, and basically look the same. As you already noted, from 06-10, a non-heated and heated version was available. The 3rd version had to do with it's cover. Some of the 05's, the anniversary editions had a "checkered" pattern in some of its forward vinyl. More specifically, I know the checkered seat was offered on silver 2005.

My 04 Flair red Gold Wing has sections in it that look kinda like carbon fiber. I was told that not all 04 seats were this way.
