Got my hip replaced and knees fixed. I hear the call of two wheels again. I know, it's hard to believe....... I'm thinking very seriously of selling my '06 GL 1800 with MotorTrike Adventure (IRS) conversion and including my "Bag Tag" just because I won't use it.

Some time ago I seem to recall the value rule of thumb being book on the bike and 50% on accessories (trike kit being considered an accessory). Is that right? If not please set me straight.

Thanks !!!!

Gold Rush, I have a suggestion, keep the trike & buy a 2 wheeler to blast around town. I think I understand how you feel about getting all fixed up with some new knee & hip joints, I have had about 13 knee operations including 5 total knee replacements. It took 5 replacements, 3 left & 2 right, for me to wise up & slow down AND get a design that really fits & works for someone my size. I still have my '92 Springer for running around town and when I need to scare myself a little and I now have my '11 TG for most rides or trips. When I'm stopped, on my TG, I don't have to worry about falling when one or both of my knees decide not to work or are just tired.
So, for what it's worth, from someone that may be in a similar situation as you, keep the trike for comfort & no falling and get that 2 wheel when you need a thrill. Ride Safe:wave4:

Guys I really appreciate you concern for my mental health but I know what I want to do and would really like some sound information. I know there are guys out there with a better feel for market value and that is the information I would like.

Thanks again for you concern.

Personally I don't have any real concern for your mental health, I think we all have a screw loose somewhere, but I just think it is far better to have a choice of at least 2 bikes to ride and not stuck with just 1.
As far as the value of a bike there are all kind of sites on the web to get an idea for a price range and you know the least you will accept for it. Good luck what ever you decide. :wave4:

I just looked at your photos, maybe you already have that extra 2 wheeler? That sure is a good looking trike.
