I have a RAM X-Grip on mine. I'll need another four years before I can turn my phone off. I need to be reached 24/7 unfortunately and it sucks. But that's the job that enables me to have my trike so there's always tradeoffs in this world. Anyway, I use mine for music and GPS.
Like Gary no phone on my bar's. Lived to long now to die stupid I personally will not there's plenty of things to do. The added distraction of a phone in use is like driving drunk no thank you. Travel safe Fred
No mount. Thats what "bluetooth" is for. Stays in the trunk.![]()
the purpose of my phone is to stream Pandora through my bike. I have no intentions of using it as a phone while driving, but do like a wide variety of music that I can choose on my smart phone.
I understand however I know me and if it was there sooner or later I'm sure the temptation to make aor answer a call well you know. If not there can't happen. I ride to get away from people anyway music is not really that important to myself or Jeanne the wind works just fine for us. Travel safe Fred
believe me I want to escape people as well. My job keeps me connected 24 //7. Maybe retirement will change the phone responsibilities but I will still choose to be away from people!
I've only used the phone to receive a couple very important calls I was expecting and did not want to wait around for. But I do like having Apple CarPlay on the new Boom Box GTS and it requires the phone to be plugged into the USB port via a lightning cable. Otherwise like others I'd have it stowed away. I use the Techmount phone mount. Great products and great customer support.

I don't mean to impose myself and my feelings on anyone my background in transportation safety and the epidemic of distracted driving ie. Riding and my age personally I can't afford any more gadgets on the bars. My power vision displays gear selection, engine temperature and not sure what else. And I'm considering removing it now I know where I'm at with heat management each to what you need.:good: Travel safe FredI came to the same conclusion as the overwhelming majority in this thread. I was looking for phone mounts and decided to just leave it in the fairing pocket and not mess with it. Its connected to my Sena so I can call if necessary but not receive as I keep the "Do Not Disturb While Driving" feature turned on all the time whether on 2 or 4 wheels. My manager has also accepted the fact that when I am off, I am not readily available by phone. It helps that he rides too. If he or one of my guys has to call or text, they know I will respond within at most 2 hours (if they're lucky and dependent on the importance) and then continue on my way. That was part of the agreement when they offered and I accepted a supervisor position last year, when I'm off, I'm off unless it's an emergency.
