Since I am about to buy my first trike, I want to try and make sure I get a good one. What should I be looking at and what questions should I be asking? In other words, what are some of the points you can give me to look for in a trike to insure it’s a good one? When you are looking for one, what do you look for and check? I am not talking about the fit; I’m talking about kicking the tire to make sure it has air type of stuff. Any suggestions’ would be helpful.

I would buy from an individual or a dealer that has a complete history of the trike available that shows all maintenance, repair, replacements, etc, made for the life of the bike and trike conversion.
No salvage titles.
I would never ask for a test ride by myself from a private seller but, would ask to be taken on a demo ride.
Look for damage to body panels, look underneath for signs of leaks, damage, excessive corrosion, etc.
If you find one you are interested in, from a private sale-asking for the trike to be taken to a dealer or near by installer for a professional inspection, for which you would pay for would be in order.

First thing I would do is run the VIN number and check the history of it, then I would drive it and see how it runs and shifts, check the lights, oil, check for leaks, worn tires, clutch, brakes. See if it comes with a warranty, depends on the age of it.
