I’m a HOG member but until now I haven’t needed to plan a ride. Is everyone happy with the Harley ride planner or does anybody prefer some other app including ones you have to pay for?

I use ride planner. I also use google maps or waze maps. I have a 2021 Ultra so, my system can handle AA.

Some times, I plan the ride in google and then upload them to Harley Ride Planner

I had stumbled upon this app calimoto
the downside is its 60$ for a year sub,
the upside its a pretty good app, you can select type of ride, meaning a curvy, or winding style of ride, as well as the time frame of a trip you wanna plan, you get i believe a 14day free trial to use it to see if you like it.
also if you do not want to put your credit card info out there, use Privacy.com once you sign up you can create virtual credit cards with a limit to how much you want to put, and once that amount is used either single use or the amount is reached it will close that card so no other amount can be charged to it, save a lot of headaches if you wanna buy something from a sketchy online site.

Thanks. I watched a review of Calimoto and it sounds like a good overall app.

Ma and I jump on the bike then try to get lost. This was much easier when we lived in Cincinnati, not so easy once we retired to Florida.

used to work in and around in cin-city you ain't wrong about getting lost in that nightmare city, can't count how many times tried to find my customers home only to end up in "that" part of the ghetto, let me tell ya, sure make ya paranoid. best story i had was some "woman" (i use that term loosely) she shouted at me while I was driving by her on a Residential road, looked in my side mirror to see her, (couldn't hear her now) she decided to flash her chesticles at me, that told me everything I needed to know, I swiftly GTFO.
lol

yeah, its a decent app, usually when me and the wife are up for a trip we find a good route plan for either mile driven, or time on the road, longest ride we have done was 2hrs, but that is due to the Cold weather, wife hates to get cold, and I have yet to invest in some heated gear for her yet.
