What do you carry in the Trike for long rides

After reviewing many forum posts and recommendations, these are my list of the minimum items I plan to carry in the trike when we are traveling to areas where we are not certain we have access to stations etc.

I always carry a couple of cable ties in my little tool pouch. I used one many years ago to hold the front of my gas tank in place on my Sportster after the screw fell out. I used one to fix a friends chaps when his leather tie in the back broke. I used one to hold my kick stand up when the spring disappeared.

Dave, Nice List!

I also carry a locking gun case. It's a soft-sided one that's useful when traveling through states like Illinois. It's a Vaultz Locking Soft-Sided Handgun Case and includes a cord for tethering. It's not ment to be impenetrable, just an inexpensive mean to comply with some of the security requirements of unfriendly states.

Oh! Also like the above post for including cable ties.

Yep, cable ties are VERY useful!

Many years ago Used some to hold my shift rod to shift arm when the factory joint failed. (only use heim joints now)

Good advice. We're not all bleeding Chicago liberal retards here in Illinois, but they do control the legislature. Southern Illinois will put you in the midst of some of the friendliest people in the world. Stop in for coffee and pie!

I agree. Never had an issue with the people of Illinois. When I lived in Michigan, I aways spent the night in Effingham, IL on my drive to SW Arkansas and return. Also met wonderful people in Chicago on many a weekend getaway to that city. Just not overjoyed with the confusing laws associated with “Carry” and “Transportation” of handguns with ammo for non-residents, when traveling through Illinois. Plus, what applies to transporting in a vehicle, may not necessarily apply with transporting for a motorcyclist.
