I bought an 05 HD with the Lehman conversion. I want to check the rear brakes, and lube the rear. Do I put the jack under the steel cross brace toward the rear trunk, or on the differential carrier?
Are there any "tricks" to jacking up this trike?
Thanks in advance.

A floor jack and jack stands are your best friends if you dont have a lift table. If I want to raise the back end of my trike I normally jack it up from the under the trailer hitch receiver and use jack stands to stabilize it under the frame to work on.

Don't jack using the carrier brace, it's not made to carry the weight. I put a floor jack under the tie down rings that are welded under the axel and a jack stand under the shock bracket.

If you don't have to have the weight off the rear wheels, I use a set of car ramps. I even use one for the front wheel. Then you can use a roll-around seat to be just right to do work from the side. Also safer, & the underside is free to roll around under......
I put down a large rug under the ramps then they don't slide around when you drive on. I also use a motorcycle jack to lift the front end up to put the front ramp under.

If I wanted to get both wheels off to adjust the brakes or lube the carrier, would I jack up one side first, put the jackstand under the shock mount, jack up the other side, and put a another jackstand on the other axel?
Do you have disc or drum brakes?
Thanks for you reply.

I am planning on lifting my triglide to install lift plates. I have a good ol' fashioned floor jack (wheels, long handle, round lift plate, etc.) and jack stands. Any thoughts and suggestions on lifting the beast? Don't have the funds to get the nifty trike lifts .

Get both wheels off the ground. Lift slowly and jack /support under the axle. remove the shock bolt then the lift plate bolts..The bolts could be stubborn getting off. You may need a breaker bar. take your time and be safe..

Update on jacking up my 05 trike, per Lehman.
1. Put floor jack under carrier
2. Jack up left side. Put jack stand under left axle tube.
3. Place floor jack on right side cross member just behind the tranny.
4. Jack up the trike. Plase floor stand under right axle tube.
5. Leave floor jack in place, if possible.
6. Put trike in neutral.
7. Adust brakes.
Sounds pretty simple. I will try it this weekend. I have to grease the differential in the carrier.
Thanks to all who responded, including Lehman.
