What are you listening to?

Like Papa I also grew up in the South,so I love Southern Rock, but I also grew up in New Orleans so I love New Orleans Jazz, Blues. Swing, Big Band,, but also Bluegrass, country ,gospel, Southern Revival. My school also endevored to give us a little musical appreciation education as a result I love classical, and even a little Opera. But....... I can`t stand Rap/hiphop. Only very small doses.

Presently, silence and the occasional refrigerator running and the clock on the wall ticking.
I have a music station saved on the computer from Wickenburg Arizona that is good country music.

I enjoy just about anything except that rapcrap, I'm a retired musician and love jazz and Big Band, but I still listen to some of the older heavy metal stuff, Black Sabbath, Edgar Winter, Gun's n Roses, etc.

Zammy - I'm right there with you! I learned to play trumpet starting in 4th grade in the mid '70's in our small rural school. Our band teacher, Mr Fly had been teaching there since the early 1950's and had played with Benny Goodman and other Swing Big Bands, so the repertoire of music we played was a lot of that sound from the day. It's been years since I last played though.

So my music list? I listen to a LOT of ZZ Top, Mark Knopfler both before as Dire Straits and especially after. CCW is definitely on the list along with the Allman Bros, Journey, 38 Special, REO (our local band from Champaign IL!), GnR, etc. I'm not much in to the modern stuff, but a couple I do like is Chris Stapleton and believe it or not, Jelly Roll.

Then comes my eclectic Electro Swing listening when I'm by myself (my wife don't care for it!) Big Bad Voodoo Daddie's, Caravan Palace, Cherry Poppin' Daddie's, Parov Stelar, RetroElectric Big Band, The Pretty Reckless, The Puppini Sisters, The Swing Bot, Swingrowers, Tape Five, etc.

ELO, Steely Dan, CCR, Linda Ronstat, BB King, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaugn....

If any of you know how to post a YouTube video of some of your favorites, feel free to post them.

I’m all over the map, except rap… From Zeppelin to Steely Dan to The Cure, Hall and Oats, Devo, Pat Travers, ARS and more…

My Apple “Favorites” play list has over 1400 songs (like 4 1/2 days ) of non stop music.

My personal soundtrack that makes every mile I ride on my 21’ Tri Glide even more enjoyable.

Wind Therapy plus Great Music = Ultimate Mind Flush!

CCR, ZZ Top, Willie Nelson, Patty Kline... Chris Ledoux, his son Ned Ledoux, Marty Robbins and other cowboy singers and Classic Country. Not into New Country at all except for a few new singers that are still singing Country the way it is supposed to be like the Castellows and a few others.
