Trying to get the smell/odor off my heated jacket, I was putting a 5 gal can of off road diesel up in my barn's loft and it spilled and got on the jacket, Can't machine wash it, So have to hand wash, let it dry , And repeat. 3 times so far :gah:

Yep,Tried that, And also borax with Fels-Naptha.. Natures Miracle mixed with Degreaser...
And after it drys Febreze . Quite a bit of the Diesel ran down my sleeve. Once the sleeve drys the odor comes back... But a little less each time.. I'm thinking the red dye they use in off road diesel is helping to lock the odor in...:Shrug:

The die is just that. Fuel oils a beach to get out un less you machine wash. Hang ,it outside :Shrug: white vinegar ,put on and let it air dry. Do not mix it.

Gonna try the lemon juice next... I did get most of the odor out... But the diesel still lingers on!... Better to smell like a lemon, Than a gas station jockey.
