I had asked a question about shoot'n grease into the rear driveshaft, via the grease jurks located under there, and never received an answer..

How often should I shoot (apply) grease into the rear drive shaft????????????

2010 Honda Goldwing (1800)

Love my Roadsmith!!

I have a 2012 Gold Wing with the RoadSmith trike kit(love it) Notice that both rear tires are wearing on the inside. Is there a fix?

My first thought would be to check the condition of your shocks. Looking from the rear, do tires look splayed out on the bottom vs the top?? Might need new shocks or adjust the preload.

How do you remove the LP holder on the trunk? Been turning those Allen wrench screws but they won’t loosen anything. Need help replacing my LP. Do you go into the trunk or what?

If your just sitting on the trike not running or moving do the handle bars move right to left with no binding ? maybe you have wires, a brake hose or clutch cable binding up the steering ?

7-16-23 I was Pushing up or to left with right hand and pulling down with left hand as hard as I could. Either time it wouldn’t go to left .

Thats counter steering, Can't do that on a trike..... If you wanted to turn left....What you should of have done was ;

PUSH UP WITH THE LEFT HAND AND DOWN WITH THE RIGHT HAND..' IE; Turn bars in the direction you want to go...Like turning a steering wheel on a car...

Not for a left hand turn - push up (out) with my right hand and pull down (in) with my left hand - this steers me to the left.

I like what the other guy said - check left turning while sitting still and see if something is caught up. Also, try some low speed maneuvers in a parking lot.

Ok let me Splane it more better….Turn the handle bars in the direction you want to go…And that’s the opposite of counter steering..Counter steering is for a two wheeler..

If I am understanding this right it sounds like the bike may have set up and rust formed in the steering bearings therefore making it hard to turn and it may not prevent turning every time. I would raise the front wheel off the ground and turn the handle bars back and forth listening and feeling for a grinding sound or feeling for binding and flat spots.

Roadsmith Ultra Ride Camber

Got an Ultra Ride kit on a 2003 Electra Glide. Rear Tires have negative camber and are wearing on the inside. I am the second owner so I do not know if the shocks have been adjusted. Called the factory twice and have not gotten a response yet. Does anyone know how to adjust the camber on this particular kit? Thanks.

If it’s IRS , bring it ti an alignment shop and let them align it to zero with you on it . Most use lazer machines .

Hey ‘Champ Welcome to Trike Talk 👍👍..

Got a call back from Doug with Roadsmith. Apparently there’s no adjustment for the camber on this bike. He said to just adjust the preload on the shocks more. That’s what we’ll do.

I've had a 2006 GL1800 with a Roadsmith conversion (S/N ST1804025). It has an auxiliary gas tank. When I transfer fuel, both lights at the switch go on. When the auxiliary tank is empty, both lights stay on. It is my understanding one of the lights will go off and the pump will stop when the auxiliary tank is empty. Is that how this older unit should work? Is there a common wiring error that could cause it to not work as designed? Any hints will be appreciated.

Good afternoon.
I had my 2006 Honda GL18007A nav,abs triked with a Roadsmith Kit at Central Motors in Mt. Pleasant, MI back in 2012.

Things have been good with this trike kit. I know I was told the ABS braking is no longer working after the conversion, which I am ok with, but I have a question.

I have had to replace a locked up right side front rotor, and looking at the bleeding instructions from the 2 wheeled GL1800, there are 8 places that need to be bled, some places are from the front resevoir and and the others from the round brake reseviour, under the left side cover.

Since the front and rear brakes have been separated, due to the trike kit, what should I be looking at for bleeding the front brakes, and the new right side calipher. I am trying to follow the brake lines under the bike, but can't seem to find the lines I thought to be there.

So some help would be appreciated. I did notice that the 2 bleed screws in the right calipher are in separate compartments, which makes it more confusing, since there is a "brake line" that seems to be going to each of the 2 reseviors in the calipher.

I hope this isn't too confusing, but I want my bike to be able to stop to the best of its ability.

Looking at a Honda GW with a Road Smith conversion. Can reverse gear be put in a Road Smith after the kit has already been installed?

I hope it is ok to use links for other sites here. If not it is ok if a mod deletes.

The link below has info that says 2015 Honda GW F6B do not have reverse or at least some do not have reverse.

I just found 2 websites that claim it has reverse: 2015 Honda Gold Wing F6B Review

LOL. I don't know what to say. haha

Also I solved the reverse issue on the trike I was looking at. It is a GL 1800. The vin decoder I used had a list of options/features and ended with "/Gold Wing F6B", so I thought that the trike I was looking at was a GW F6B. And my searching found the link provided above insinuating that there was no reverse.

I was able to enlarge a picture of the trike's right handlebar area and ID'd the "reverse" button.

I have a lot to learn about GWs!

Thanks
