Weight?

My 97 1500 with a CSC kit is listed at 1250 pounds or so, I would imagine yours is close to that

Thanks, dougv, for your reply. I was hoping the weight would be under the 1500 lb. limit of the lift.

I have a steel version of that jack.
No troubles lfting the rear of my 2010 GW with MT kit.
Unfortunatly due to the running boards.
I cant use it to lift from the sides.
That jack should cure all ills lifting your trike.

I did also get this one a heck of a lot better jack in my unhumble opinion. A lot more money too.
I also got the optional wheel under carriage so I can move the entire trike around if needed....

I own this m/c jack and if you use this one, you had best use tie downs as it isn't all that stable. It works fine, just wobbly with a big load. It also can't get under my trike without me running the trike up on a ramp. It says collapsed height is 5 1/8" but I think it may be a tad taller when all the way down. <br />

J&S has a trike lift, btw... a bit more but it looks promising. Couldn't figure out to find their SPECS that told you if it lifted a wing...

Contacted them, some time ago asking about one for Wing/Trikes. Nothing forth coming that I know of!

I just weighed my 08 gl1800 with csc cobra kit on race car scales the two rear wheels each weigh 438, the front weighs 451 so its 67 % rear weight & 33 % front, total weight 1327. I thought it would be around 1150 -1175. I wonder if anybody has the weight of a two wheeler front & rear?

I have a Harbor Freight and a Pitbull. Using the Harbor Freight was always a white knuckle experience, particularly lowering, which was too rapid, even after I worked on the jack.

The Pitbull is a dream, stable (the footprint is substantially larger) and very well controlled when lowering. $$$, but worth it for me.

I did my own conversion. The bike was worked on on the Pitbull. Confidence inspiring, even while wrenching (I did strap it down well). I used the Harbor Freight to roll the trike kit to the bike.

that is a pretty good jack. Remember you are not lifting the complete trike most likely. It would probably be a pain trying to lit it with that type of jack any way. My sears jack-limit is 1,000 lbs and it lifts the rear or front easy.
If you want to lift the entire trike think about a drive on lift.
Just a thought.

That will lift the trike up with no problem what so ever. From the rear you might need some help with a bottle jack or car flat jack 1st though.
Depends on your clearances. Same with the front or sides.
I use a flat floor jack under the pumpkin to start then the one you have listed on the rear frame.
Always use floor jack stands when you get to where you want to be height wise.
Please don't depend on the jack to hold the height indefinitely.........it wont.

Once you get it up you use the locks on the jack and let the trike down until the locks hold it up. You never use this type of jack without using the locks, it is really hard on the pump and it can lock up or stop functioning while it is up on just the pump itself. Short time maybe. If it doesn't go high enough for the locks I also use a bottle jack or stand.
