We Finally Did It

After lurking around here for many months learning as much as possible, checking Cycle Trader and Craigslist nationally for a trike, I finally found one that I liked and could afford. Believe it or not I found a brand new leftover 2008 Suzuki C-90 with a new 2008 Lehman Jackal conversion right here in Wichita. The dealer had a Memphis Shades fairing in stock, ordered the mount kit and 12”windshield, and the Tour Pak from Lehman (made by Corbin).

They got the fairing painted to match, installed everything and I was out the door and didn’t have to haul my trailer across country to buy one so I feel that was a savings. The dealer took my two bikes in trade for a fair price and that saved me the hassle of waiting to sell them. The dealership is under new ownership and they are trying to move new/old bikes they have in stock. They were so eager to make a deal on this trike, when I told them I would have to trailer the bikes in for appraisal, he offered to come to the house and check them out.

I’ve got a grand total of 3.5 miles on the trike and half of that was done at Lehman after the conversion. I have noticed the front end wobble at slow speed everyone talks about. I’m hoping when my wife finally rides with me she won’t get nervous about the wobble. Haven’t adjusted the steering stabilizer yet or even checked the tire pressure. If I can find one I might have a rake kit installed after this riding season.
