Seattle 'autonomous zone' has armed guards, local businesses being threatened with extortion, police say.

Citizens and businesses being asked to pay a fee to operate within this area and show ID to enter.

Just the start of that kind of thing... No law enforcement present means rampant crime! Seattle police abandoned their precinct in that area... So let's get rid of the Police everywhere... I think NOT!!!

City dwellers have real issues all created by years of paying low salary's and poor policing policies. Controlled by leftist politicians and now an opportunity to seize control Wow a perfect storm. defund the police not good... re-invent it possibly but it is going to be painful for those involved. I posted my thoughts about this on the "How do you feel about the protests" thread and I won't repeat that here. The bottom line is the inaction and failures of wimpy, liberal politicians. This political climate has been festering in Seattle and other cities like Portland and San Francisco to name a couple, for many years. The wimps that the voters placed in office are acting predictably. The Capitol Hill area of Seattle has been the stronghold of liberalism in Seattle for many decades. And now it is being destroyed. Sad to see so many good business owners and residents go down because of the idiots that are running wild, while the politicians ignore what is going on. I listened to a news clip from Washington governor, Jay Inslee, yesterday and he said he "had no knowledge" what was happening in Seattle!!!!!!! The upcoming election this year will be, in my opinion, the most important I have seen in my lifetime..... Jim
