I test rode one at Motor Trike, solid axle. It had plenty of torque & handled pretty good. It would have been much better with a rake kit. We were triking a Softail and I wanted to test ride one & that was the closet thing they had and the only one with a solid axle. They did the conversion on the Softail and it handled just like the V-rod. I finally put one of Zook's kits on it & wow what a difference!! So I am sure a rake kit would improve the V-rod as well.
I have a friend that just finished his and it is a rocket on wheels. like the rest of you he says it has steering issues and we are now looking for a rake kit for the front end. we are also thinking front tire change, maybe to a different size or a radial but still investigating. if any of you figure something out let us know.
