Video - Harley ECM: What Does It Do? How Does it Adapt?

Thanks for this video, it explains in pretty good detail how and why.

I would like to emphasise to all riders the MYTH of clearing a check engine light via disconnecting the battery.

It will in most cases put the light out, but the code is still in the computer memory, and will rear its ugly head again until the offending part is replaced, The ECM is pretty smart compared to 1990 models.

Not only does it monitor it also has more artificial intelligence to make even more command decisions

Use the on board scanner HD has built into your bike, record the DTC, use the scan also to retrieve the module causing the code. Replace the part , clear the code. Your bike will be happy and so will you
