I'm about due for a new front tire for my Valkyrie 1500 / Lehman.

I'm going to go to rear tire - reverse rotation set up with either the MPA or the Bridgestone BT 45.

I cannot not find either of these tires in the same size as stock.

If any other Valk riders are running reverse mount rear tires up front, I would appreciate your responses as to which size & brand of tire you have along with any pros and cons regarding the tire. I would prefer the largest tire both as to width and diameter that would fit the Valk.

Thanks,

Dan

Dan,
Not made in your size, I posted this in an earlier post as this was the best choice I found, shipped free to your door....

Here ya go : http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...bra-front-tire

They make a similar tire, But it is not the Trike Specific tire / use your tire size / 150 - 80R - 17
Front / 150/80R17 (Valkyrie)AVON#4710011 / 90000001166

and these guys ship for free.... There are others but this tire rates higher..... This is a Front Radial not Bias Rear....

You could use almost anyones 180/70R-16 rear tire.
Or is a 17?? I forget.
I used a Kenda on mine back a few years ago. I went double dark with a 195-65-16 on the rear.
Light truck tire. Hard to find European size now but they are out there.

On the front of my Valk trike, I've just used the OEM size tire, in bias ply, either Dunlop or Metzler. The Metzler seemed to give better service.

I tried one of the rear tires, but since they are smaller in diameter (and width), it made the speedometer discrepancy off by a greater margin. Mine was already slow by 5 mph, the rear tire increased that to nearly 10 mph. So I just lived with the bias ply front.
