If you go on vacation and are going to the same destination
that you stayed at the last time. (ie Sturgis)
Do you stay in the same place as last time (motel or campground)
Or is it better to try somewhere new in the area?

well for what its worth my opinion is, that if you were happy with the combination of price, quality, comfort, facilities, and location, why change unless your SURE youve found somewhere better.

if your out riding and sight seeing all day, a hotel etc is only a place to sleep. A bigger room with antique furniture is not an improvement if its next door to a noisey highway, or near a pub where the patrons fight and yell at closing time when your trying to sleep.

Usually if we liked where we stayed the last time, we will stay there again. We have a couple places where we have stayed several times and the staff remember us and we are always treated really nice.

This is sort of a "if it aint broke, don't try to fix it" kind of thing. If you were satisfied where you stayed before, why change? The new spot just may be worse than what you had before. I'd change if I knew the next place was better, but I wouldn't do it unless I was sure that it was. If there was some element(s) of the old place you didn't like, then sure move on and try somewhere else.

I pretty much stay in the same places when I vacation the same area more than once. I go to Nashville every year and stay in the same Hotel, my dad and I are heading to SD again this year and will be staying the same place in Hill City we have the previous times we have traveled to that area. Only time a change is if I'm not happy with the place.

:Agree: with pretty much all the Posts. Basically, like One Poster says, If it Ain't Broken...... ;)

When I Travelled More than I Do Now, I HAVE been Burned going to Newer, (Usually, Untried Places) and then, when Push came to Shove, Unable to get a Refund, and the Worst Part, I Couldn't Get my "Old Place" back. They were Filled up! THOSE times my Friends, SUCK Big Time!

I Wish I was a little, (a LOT) more proficient at Typing, cause I SURE Could Give You a Few Examples! LOLOL Only NOT So Funny!

A Sorta Quick one for your Monday Morning Laugh though...... One of these includes being at a Decent LOOKING place, VERY Late at Night, (Midnightish or SO.....)Just to Find the Dude did Taxidermy in the Rooms when they were Vacant!!!! IMAGINE the Look on my Face when I walked in and got a Whiff of That, Then Seen All the Mould etc.!!!!!!!! :AGGHH: Long Story Short, I Stayed in my Car That Night!

The Prick Wouldn't even Answer the Door After I Got the Room, OR even The next Morning!!!!!!!! :gah:

So, Now You Know ONE of my Horror Stories about "New Places" and WHY I Don't Change them That Often! LOLOL
