I am looking to buy a used 1998 Kwik Kamp. From what I can see it is in very good shape. Are there any hidden issues with owning one ? I know the company is out of business. Is there a source of parts, new canvas etc. available if needed? I read some old articles about them and they sound like they were a top of the line camper when they were in business. If any of you have one, how do you like it?

The Kwik kamp was built for many years and have a few friends that own them. There was two models, the Bel aire has the bigger bed than the other and is a little longer body than the other. I believe what put them out of business was warranty fixes on the earlier models. There is a guy that bought all thier old inventory and is now building them on a smaller scale. However if you were to buy a new one there is a model called Aspen I think that has a much larger bed and bigger front room. Have several friends that own this one as well and very happy. You need to make sure you have your motor set up right as in low to mid is where you want your power band. To big of cam not good for towing one of these is about 325lbs before you add your gear. To answer your question, they are very well built and easy up and down. Good luck to you.

We have one that I pull with my 01 Road King. It is the fastest setup in the group we travel with. It makes a queen size bed with plenty of storage underneath, and a 3x4 stand up dressing area. We love it, and some friends are looking for one to replace their Time Out trailer.
My bike has 124,000 miles on it, and the only drawbacks, if you can call them that, is the reduced mileage on the rear tire, and the gas mileage reduction from 40 down to 36. Cheaper than a motel, and sets up anywhere.

I'd also like info on the guy who is making the new ones, if anyone has any. Thanks
