Found a very nice '02 Kompact Kamper Lil' Clipper Deluxe Trailer on the Motorcycle Trailer Towing forum. Gent who has it lives in NJ but we're going to meet halfway (Dahlgren, VA) just after lunch on Tuesday.

Since it'll be a 325 trip, one-way, figure on leaving lovely downtown Whortonsville about oh-dark-thirty (that's 5AM in sandcrab time) to get to the meet. Afterwards will ambley down US-17 to Hampton, VA to see my favorite aunt and spend the night at her house. Wednesday, I'll head home via Little Creek (got to make some hotel reservations for an October Nurses Conference).

So, if you see a black Shadow that has a white trailer following it say hello on Channel 19. Or you can just honk, wave, or join in the ride for whatever distance you want.

And, a safe Labor Day to all.

Congrats Calman. Got any pics yet? It's a good thing your going Tuesday. The traffic down here is terrible.

Doc,

A "sandcrab" is a Navy term for those two-legged, beach seeking, sidestepping creatures called civilians who work for the Navy. Overtime it has come, in certain quarters, to mean a civilian - period. So, military time is on a 24 hour basis while sandcrab time is AM/PM.

And yes, Alabama, I'll post photos in my gallery when I get the trailer home on Wednesday. Traffic here is great - everyone's at the beach. But, you won't find me going anywhere tomorrow as all the beachgoers will be headed back to whereever they came from.

A Safe Labor Day to all!

The camper sounds nice, I had always wanted one, I think it would be great camping that way... But the wife won (as usual) and we got the toyhaler..
We used to call them Sandpeeps!!! and we called the airdales "Rotor Heads" Of course everyone called us Shallow water sailors, and we all had to be 6ft tall so we could walk ashore if the boat sunk :p since we never went in water over six feet deep......

I just thought it was funny that you used that expression...hadn't heard it in quite awhile.
