Uploading picture help

Ok I have tried several times to upload a profile picture, making sure it is the right size and is a jpg file. For some reason it continues to tell me "upload failed" with no information. What am I doing wrong??? Any info for me. :Shrug::Shrug::Shrug:

Only time I ever had a problem is when I tried to put nekked women in my profile. If that is not the issue....pm 87TRIKE1200...he seems to know about these things.

Don't do it from cell phone or iPad. Both can be a little sketchy. Try desktop computer and really good internet connection.

I've had problems also. I think the Site Admn needs to look into it. Would be nice to be able to DL and Picture for your Signature. I know you can do this on the HDForums Trike Site.

I even made a donation & it made no difference. The signature upload used to work, but stopped for some reason.....
Been that way for months....

I agree on "Sig Pics". They remain a mystery. I had one and wanted to update it. It deleted the "old" one, then wouldn't accept the "new" one. Now I have none...:Shrug:

I think posting signatures pictures is kind of in limbo because of band width or facilities costs. I can't find the exact link but here's one that may shed some light.

Interesting... To try things out, I moved the pic that was the avatar to the "sig" area. AMAZING, it worked. At this point I had to replace the avatar since I had 2 of the same pic. Did all the "stuff" to revise the avatar and the hit the "save changes" button, it paused, then said "Upload Failed". Actually, I did it twice to be sure I hadn't done something wrong and again I got the "upload failed" message. I was pissed. :gah:

I then can here to discuss my results and the "new" avatar was posted. I have no idea what transpired, but the "upload failed" message was bogus (twice). Regardless, here is the "new stuff"...

The avatar pic pretty much always says "upload failed" but it still usually uploads...not sure why it gives that message. The sig pic feature should be working, it will load up to a 300X300 pic. If its larger than that it probably wont upload it, you'll have to re-size it.

Thanks for working your magic. For reference, my current sig pic is sized at 200 wide. When I get a chance, I'll try to load one at 250 to see what happens - but for now, I'll quit while I'm ahead.

I just increased it fro 250X250 to 300X300.

Whenever I try posting a picture it says it is too big. A couple other Harley forums are the same, but my chapter forum is more than 10 times larger size that can be posted to their forum.
Here I believe it's only like 16k.....very small :gah:

I can't even post a standard 8-1/2" x 11" piece of paper with text.
