We have a Garmin 2730 on our 1500 Motortrike and looking to up date
to a Garmin Zumo 665.

What will we need to be able to hear the it in our head sets?
I know that I bought a harness for our 2730 so we could hear it in our head sets.
Is there a plug and play harness for the 665 that will work with the 1500 system?

THANKS

The 660 and 665 come with the motorcycle mount which has the output connector to plug directly into the AUX input on the bike......

You'll really like the 665. I swithched to a 660 a year ago and sure don't regret it on second.

Wayne, how were you getting the audio from your old Garmin to the bike? If you were using the earphone output then you will be able to use that on the 665 as well. It will reduce the waterproof aspect. There is a rubber plug that covers the earphone jack....

You could also route that harness connector out where you could plug into it instead of the earphone jack. I don't know the comparison regarding signal strength (sorry).. You might have to visit Radio Shack and pick up an adapter also...

Here is a How To for adding AUX input to GL1500. Adding an Aux input to the GL1500 radio • GL1500 DIY Articles • goldwingdocs.com

Hope that helps.
