Acid strip, shot blast, powder coated in black followed by chrome then a coat of wet lacquer

Looks good, but not understanding the: Powdercoated black followed by chrome plating? How is that possible?

Are you referring to applying an additional chrome-like powdercoat application over the black base powdercoat? I'm about to restore my GL1800 Hannigan Tri-Car valve covers, looking at best options.

If you do it yourself let the black cool and set before chrome otherwise it will yellow the effect
