up-graded fairing speakers ???

I know that there are ton of upgraded speakers available for these bikes and I also know that the prices vary alot, I am simply looking for something better than the OEM speakers as I'm sure they are low end. What do you guys and gals think is the best bang for the buck ? ? ? THANKS ! ! !

I put a set of Polk audio speakers in my 1990 Ultra. The are much better then the stock speakers. I bought them from Crutchfield a few years back as a closeout. These are regular speakers but are also marine certified, so a little rain won't hurt them. Think I paid $39.00 or $49.00 a pair.

Model DB 400 or 450 if I remember right.


I also put a set of the same in my Dodge 3500, but they were bigger. Db 650 I think.

I upgraded my street glide speakers to Hogtunes speakers and they sounded great. One of the speakers went bad and my local harley shop replaced it under warranty. For the money you should check out your local Best Buy or other electronics shop.

I have the same speakers and am very satisfied with them. I'm just powering them with the stock radio, no add-on amplifier.

Maybe someday, I'll upgrade to some Kicker speakers and external amp, but right now I don't really see the need.
