I live in Central Florida and ride a 2011 Triglide. I changed my oil, at the start of the summer, to the Indian 15w60 full synthetic oil. I also went with Harley Davidson Heavy Synthetic Gear Oil (80w140) in the transmission and primary. My experience so far has been totally positive. My engine is running quieter and maintains a little better oil pressure when it is hot. My transmission is shifting quieter with this gear oil, I was using Syn3 before. We have had an extremely hot summer and I feel this might be better protection for my tri. Has anyone else used this combination? If so what was your experience.

Oldsarge, you also might want to look at Luqui Moly 10w-60. It has gotten great reviews HTT, I also have used it in my last three bike including the current one. eBay has some good pricing.

I've not tried the Indian Oil, but I have run the HD Heavy Syn Gear Oil. It seems to be pretty good stuff. In the little I ran it (gonna try it again) it seemed on par with the Redline HD Shockproof. I will need to run it longer next time to see if it holds up as well as the Redline.

I'm 4000 miles into the first cycle of the HD Synthetic Heavy Duty gear oil in the transmission and Primary on my 17 TG, so far I like it better than the SYN 3.

Seems to be less clunk and easier shifting.

Still running SYN 3 in the engine.

I'm leaving Redline in 10,000 miles in the tranny. I have not installed the Redline primary fluid yet, I have 2 quarts but am using up my HD Formula +. I'm only going 5,000 miles on it as it gets pretty nasty looking from the clutch plates.
