I have a 2024 Tri Glide Ultra and is it normal to have to slam the door a bit for the door to properly close and latch. I noticed when I didn’t it would open while I was riding.

When properly adjusted it does not need to be slammed to stay shut. Use a couple of open end wrenches, and loosen the locknut, then adjust how far the striker protrudes so that it securely latches without slamming, then tighten locknut.

Gently and firmly pushing it closed has always worked for me. Just in case it would pop open I keep the two cable door supports tied close together with a reusable wire tie, then if it opens it only comes down about 4 inches and nothing can come out.

Was suggested by the dealership to slam it. After it fell open twice, I dosed it with a little spray lube and I now close it by applying pressure to the door in the closed position. Much better
