Saturday July 7th I have decided to leave for Fayette Missouri where an old high school buddy now lives. And I do mean "OLD" :) He is riding north and I am riding south. We plan to meet in Anamosa, Iowa (half way) and then continue on the next day to Fayette.

We are going to check out the museum in Anamosa and of course JP Cycles to see if more chrome is needed. The weather is going to cool down by the 7th. Today in Northern Wisconsin we are going to have 98* by the 7th it is suppose to be 80* for a high.

Leaving from Lakewood, WI and heading down 47 to US 41 to 151 to Anamosa. Of course I stop at Harley dealers for rest stops.

If anyone wants to ride along for a ways, join in. I monitor Channel 1 on the CB. Course the CB does not have much range. Watch for the blue/black Harley Triglide with a old guy on board. :)

Made it back safely. Rode 1965 miles and did not see the museum in Anamosa, it closed as I got there and it was 100*. I wanted to leave early the next morning while it was cooler. Buddy did not make it to Anamosa, we met in Kirksville, MO.

On my way back I went by Le Claire, Iowa to see the American Pickers. No one from the show was there but the store was open. Headed north and got misplaced and ended up in Illinois, :) Saw some nice landscape anyway. Stopped a couple more times to visit with some old friends for a few hours.

Nice trip. It was sorta like the Australians say when they go walk about for a few days, instead I went ride about, :) It was great, but very hot.

What fun to take a trip like that.... ride when you want.... stop when you want.... see what you want! :D

Sounds like a good trip to me.I really like that "MISPLACED". SOme of the best trips I ever took was when I got misplaced.Remember there is no lost in mc riding just roads that you haven't ridden yet.RIDE SAFE

I love the "Misplaced" also, It does seams like when you get "Misplaced" you see some sights you haven't seen before. I came back through Iowa on the way back from South Dakota on the 7th of July and it was VERY hot. Made my way to the Ice Cream capital of the world and of course I had to get some ice cream. That's my favorite stops, Ride Safe and have FUN!
