trip sw. problem

just developed a problem with trip sw.on my 2014 freewheeler,readout is stuck on remaining fuel,will not change.dealer said it could be a small circuit board.anyone had this problem? what did you do to correct it? thanks for any help.

Shot in the dark here, And probably won't help, But what the hey give this a try... Disconnect the battery for about ten seconds....:Shrug:

Easier to pull the main fuse under the right side cover IMHO than disconnecting the battery.

It could also just be a problem in the switch.
