I didn't want to hijack the thread about the sporty, so here's my own. I wrecked my VS1400 3 years ago. It still sits in the garage. I have most of the parts to fix it, but wouldn't ride it as a 2-wheeler anymore. Would love to trike it, because it is a real hot rod of a bike. I'm not sure I like the Frankenstein trikes for it. Does anyone know of anybody who could do this kikd of work? Lehman makes a kit for the VL800 (Volusia/C50) which has the same size rear wheel and driveshaft. If I could find a dealer willing to modify....

U sure that Lehman can't do the 1400 . I thought I saw one done. As said any good bike wrench can do a trike install. That would make a hot trike .

hitime, you may want to look into American Trikes, they offer kits for a very wide variety of bikes. And has more of a 'hot rod' look to it with the quad shocks etc.

I can't pass comment on the availability of kits, but over here there are a number of Intruder 1400's that have been Triked & they have turned out to be awesome machines. Go for it! <img src="images/smilies/cool.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Cool" class="inlineimg" />

I wish I could find a smashed 1400 intruder or any bike for that matter,to make a trike for Honey

All those bikes at the salvage yard and not one trike. I think that is pretty good. I think it says something positive about trikes on the road.

And not have the hassle of getting it road worthy titled. They usually come with a salvage or non-rebuildable title.
