Triked Kawasaki still under warranty?

Seems some poster's have mentioned that Kawasaki will warrant there bikes after they are triked. Is this a fact or not? Hope some knows. I will be asking dealer some time in the next week or so.

I know (regarding Harley dealers, anyway) that it may vary from dealer to dealer. Some variables that may affect their decision....<br />
<ul><li style="">if the trike conversion was done by them in their own shop</li><li style="">if they know you well and have a positive relationship with you</li><li style="">if they are willing to go outside "the book", evaluate if the issue is strictly related to the bike and not at all to the trike kit addition</li><li style="">if it is something they can deal with easily on a local basis without calling in the support of the mother company</li></ul><br />
Unfortunately, if the personal relationship is not well established, and especially if they are a "by the book" shop, in many cases the bike warranty is considered void once the trike conversion is done <img src="images/smilies/frown.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Frown" class="inlineimg" />. It will be interesting to see if others feel Kawasaki dealers function similarly to HD.

The Lehman Storm Trike conversion based on the 900cc Vulcan is a Kawasaki Warrantied trike. The agreement with Kawasaki is like the original agreement with Suzuki and Victory on Lehman turn-keyed trikes. They produce trikes from new motorcycles only and initially were only available through certain Franchised Suzuki, Victory and Kawasaki dealers. This does not mean that the dealers know what they are doing when dealing with any warranty trike work, but the consumer is protected. It is supposed to be a simple process. Not all OEM dealers will participate in the sale or service and that further leads to confusion of a warranty. The Champion Kawasaki Trike does not have this agreement with Kawasaki.
