Trike Talk/TOI Members...we will be riding to here Saturday...

Mitzie and I will be eating Breakfast at Samples Family Restaurant on Hwy 41-A (Main Street) in Estill Springs this Saturday, May 9th. I have used this Location as a start many times for TRIKE TALK/TOI RIDES including the EUREKA SPRINGS ARKANSAS TRIKE TALK/TOI RALLY and the TENNESSEE TOI CHAPTER CATFISH HOTEL RIDE to Savannah, Tennessee, so some of You are familiar with the Restaurant. We will eat there early and get on the road unless some of You want to go with us. I can leave out as late as 9:30 CST if need be for some of You to arrive. Here is where we are going.....

Shaffer's Farms Texas Bar-B-Q in Summertown, Tennessee. It is off of Hwy 43 W out of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. From here it is roughly 130 miles one way, so it will be a nice Day Trip. Weather is calling for Sunny and 80s. We will be on the Scooters and the Pace will be 50 to 65 mph, and mostly on Nice, Scenic Hwy 64, so even the most Novice Riders will have a Pleasant Ride. Most of it is even 4-Lane, so, unlike my sometimes "twistiest roads I can find Routes...:laugh:"... no stress on this one. Your just lucky it's 7 hrs and 40 minutes from my house to join you for breakfast. If I didn't have to work Friday I might have made the trip.

OK, due to no responses, Mitzie and I turned this into a "Take Our Fathers with us in the Jeep Patriot" Trip. Both have lost Their Wives (Our Mothers) in the past year and half and tend to spend too much "Home Alone Time".....We'll be getting up another "FOOD RIDE" soon...Hope some TRIKE TALK/TOI Members can make it. Maybe the PURPLE DAISY BAR B Q in Chattanooga....Really Scenic Twisty Route using one Route going, another returning...other options are BEAS RESTAURANT (also Chattanooga), or the CATFISH HOTEL (Lota' Members here went on this Trip and seemed to really like it).....posting soon, keep watching TRIKE TALK for updates.....ThumbUp

Since I have had "several encounters" with Brisket in my Lifetime, I can still easily say I had the ABSOLUTELY BEST, AND MOST TENDER BRISKET I ever ate at this Place last Saturday.....ThumbUp...They also have a Fantastic Meat Department. I brought home some Fresh, Giant Royal Red Shrimp from there...Yes, They have been cooked and consumed......This is a definite "I WILL BE BACK" Eating Place.....:10:
