That’s why I always like to speak directly to the horse’s mouth and get their name...I always get a better deal as opposed to online. Such as the Lakeway trip I just did...the best online rate was $139.00 & cancellable. By calling the actual hotel I got $116.00 and it being cancellable with 24 hours prior notice. I’ll call Tammy tomorrow - I’ll bet there are plenty of TrikeTalk rooms left at Kerrville.

A week earlier would still be ok with me to avoid Fredericksburg conflict...

All the motels are high this year. With Octoberfest up the road & this one in Kerrville, Getting crowded there. Maybe a try an earlier time frame next year .

If any of ya have a Wyndam hotel card, use some points. Saves big. Anyway, Janiene & I will arrive on that Wed. a day early. Need a nap after a 1300 mile ride to get there :vxtyaq:. But will be glad to see all of ya again.

Hey Randy, hope all is well my friend :wave4: so just for giggles I reserved online through Super 8 website at their "best" rate. Paid a whopping $6 total difference from what our group rate was with free cancellation. Funny when booking it stated only one room left...now rechecked and there's 9 more available for these days. Something ain't right here

You're right about something being funky Randall...I also looked at booking through Hotel.com to see what the rates were and it was just a few dollars more than our supposed to be group rate. Last year they gave us an amazing deal, thats why I'm at a loss for why they have jacked up the price so much this year. When I saw that there were just a few rooms left, I got worried and called back to book mine and when I asked Tammy, she said they had plenty of rooms.

Lookin' forward to seeing some old friends from last year...well, except for maybe a couple of em....LOL.

But honestly, you’ll enjoy the round table gatherings in the evenings at the Super8 and not have to worry about mounting up for the ride back to your room....at another hotel....away from the group....in the dark....through harrowing traffic....negotiating crazy parking lots....all alone...

Maybe she was dealing with a PIA customer, got frustrated and forgot. Maybe she wrote your number down wrong. Maybe one of her kids got sick and she left, don't let the lack of communication mess with your fun time in Texas. Just be patient and call again. You can cancel your cheaper room and have more fun for a few dollars more.

Trike Talk Texas Hill Country Reunion 2018 in Kerrville Texas will be Thursday October 4th through Saturday October 6th departing on Sunday October the 7th. The host hotel will once again be the Super 8. Marge is building a registration page and will have the link up shortly.

Updated 02-15-18:

Tammy promised me that he will call me so we will see. She tells me that Roger says that the best rate the property owners would let him give our group this year is $79 for Thursday, $99 for Friday and $99 for Saturday.

So, unless something changes, it looks that is the rate. I checked other properties and they are all noticably higher this year, so the price is trending up. I looks as if more folks are discovering Kerrville as a destination and the demand for rooms is on the rise. As of right now, we have 25 rooms left in our block. I asked Tammy to reserve as many as possible on the ground floor, rear section where our rides start and she agreed to do that.

When you call the Super8 be sure to tell them you are with the TrikeTalk group and want the special rates for that group.
