Thanks to All - my trike search is complete - I bought the 97 Valkyrie trike last night - I'm thrilled - it has some needs but addressing them is part of the hobby for me - for those interested, please see my summary of trikes that reached the "finals" and their associated EBAY listing numbers so you can check them out - Including the one I bought:
1. 97 Honda Valkyrie EBAY item # 200492084881. Local - 25k miles - delivered to my door by two cool ladies - lots of extras - carbs just serviced - runs great - I probably can't live with the color - $10,300 - all I can say about the price is "I felt like I witnessed a crime"
2. 06 Yamaha Road Star 1700 - stunning trike - tons of custom work - like new condition - I was very close to buying this one - it just has a great stance in my opinion - I like the rear axle exposed with bags more than the fiberglass box on the back - the seller was a great guy - I felt bad about not buying his trike - an interesting example of the current tough times as he's listed it three times - has well over $20k in it - it looks fantastic and nobody's bid it to $12k - WOW - I had a deal worked out at $12,250 plus shipping with him - if you're in the market I'd give this one a good look - EBAY item # 350371014174.
3. 03 HD Roadster with SST trike kit - nice guy in Fla. - simple kit that uses alot of the existing HD stuff - clean and sorted - smart guy - I had a deal worked out for $7,750 including windsheild and sissy bar currently being listed separately - great guy - great price - but at the end of the day I wanted more than 1200cc and the bike just wasn't beautiful to me. EBAY item # 370405475934 - this is a real trike not a bolt on kit.
4. 06 Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 - tons of extras - black black - looks like a GW almost with all the stuff on it - I loved the trike but the seller was late getting back to me - only 4k miles - very good looking and he agreed to $14k on price and probably would have dropped a bit more if I pursued a transaction with vigor - EBAY item # 140423599327
