Trike Buyers Survey

Wife and I are Harley Snobs. My '09 goes out of warranty in '14 so I'll be getting a new one then. Her '11 does the same thing in '16. Hope they are still making them then!!

Funny that this thread is open! I am in the market to convert my 2010 ultra classic to a trike. I'm debating between a Motortrike Gladiator or a Roadsmith Hdtr. I have only been able to ride 500 miles in 2 years due to medical reasons and other issiues. That is the main reason that I need to convert my bike. I considered trading it in for a new triglide but I would lose my stage 1 upgrades and all of my add ons. Wish I could get down to Dothan to have Zook hook me up but it's a long way from Northwest Ohio! I will fill out the form on the website for quote and hopfully find a indy close to home to install the roadsmith. Motortrike has a dealer in Bowlingreen Oh. about 30 miles from where I live.

Hate to be a downer, but I live in the world of reality. My ships not coming in, I am not going to win the lottery, and am pretty sure that publisher's clearing house isn't going to show up at my door, with a bunch of balloons. However, I currently own a Harley trike, and as soon as I sell it, I have a VTX 1300 in my garage, waiting for the conversion to a CSC solid axle. Maybe I could help the economy and finance the conversion.

I am trying to build one for my wife and if it works out then one for myself, I don't have that kind of money to buy one already built. I am disabled but still can ride 2 wheels but for how long I don't know for sure. so for now its been alot of research and more research on bodies as well. I have a xs1100 yamaha that I am currently building for my wife, and I ride a shadow 1100. so we will see.

:Agree: Unfortunately the crooks running my county (harris county) want me to pay almost $900.00 bucks a year to own one.

Why so much?

Anyway I only have 8,000 miles on my Honda VTX 1300R... A couple of options is after paying off the bike and some bills keep the bike and have it triked, or look for a trike.
I really should have bought a bike with higher CC's due to my husky size and with the wife on the bike but was trying to keep my payments low due to the economy and did not know if we were going to have another pay cut ( which is still an option down the road). We have taken rides around town and the bike has handled us well but not sure about highway runs.
