Just a thought for everyone out there looking for a bumper for their trike other than MOCO's. Take a look at this bumper at UNB Customs:

It sure looks very much like the H.D. version, which I have, with
the exception that H.D. has the LED in it.
I like mine but you are right, not really MUCH FOR PROTECTION!

It won't stop a hard hit like a vehicle, but if it stops even a good ding to the trunk, & or tour pac then it paid for itself.
I can stand on the one from MOCO. I wouldn't do any bouncing, but it does mount solid, & will stop most dings from happening.

I have the HD one and I am totally satisfied with it. It looks good and serves its purpose to protect the rear of the trike.

That is the nerf bumper Roadsmith offers. I have the same bumper on my trike.

It is a pretty heavy duty bumper but I doubt it would stand up to a hard hit. It will definitely protect the back end if you happen to roll backwards into something of if someone rolls into you.
