TriGlide - no fader option and rear speakers wont work.

View attachment 82712Hi, I'm new to this forum. I recently bought a 2016 Tri Glide Ultra and when I turn on the radio only the front speakers work. When I go to sound options, the screen does not show a fader option. Its a stock Boom system. Can anyone help me please?

Ash........Welcome to Trike-Talk.......:clapping:...

Sorry i can't help on the radio ......But i'm sure someone will chime in soon with the knowledge to help you figure it out...

Welcome to Trike Talk:clapping: That's really a pretty trike:D Can't help you with that year Trike, on the 2019 it's under Audio Settings, Fade, and then a full screen of an outline of the Trike with a line top to bottom that you move. Good luck with getting it to work. Again, that's a right pretty trike you have there:D

Nice trike! Oh yeah, welcome! :)

My 2015 did not come with a manual but they are available all over the net with a quick search. Being a used trike, you do not know what the previous owner has done.

Keep us up to date on your findings.

Nice trike, can you tell if there is a speaker in tour pak, the reason why I'm asking maybe the previous owner had good speakers in front and rear and took them out for his next bike that he bought and maybe didn't hook up the wires on rear speakers. I'm sure if you play with audio settings you will figure it out or go online and look for a manual that can tell you how to do it or anything go back to the dealer if bought at a dealer or if bought private then ask the guy you bought it from, I know it something simple I'm sure but I'm not a audio freak

Good luck and let us know what you find out

All for now Trampas

Thanks. Mine is supposed to be the same setup, but the fade option just isn't there for some reason!

Hope so! Not really bothered as I'm not one of those twats that rides down the road with the radio blaring. I'm a stickler for detail though, if its on the bike it should work!

I've got the manuals, but they really don't help. I've looked at the speakers/wiring etc and there are no signs of modifications. I'm wondering if just a software update might cure it?

It all looks stock and no signs of modifications. I'm going to try a software update and maybe that'll cure it. Right now I'm more concerned about learning to ride it! Very different to a bike! I rode quads about 20 years ago and they're much the same. Just need to practice!

Here is your answer (At least this works on my 16 Tri)

Press Home--Press Setup--Press Audio Setup--Press Fade/Speed Volume-- Press Fade--adjust cross hairs so they are in the middle of the bike.

Hope it works!

If that doesn't do it, check Home-Setup-Speaker/Headset to be sure the rears are coming through the speakers and not the headphones.

Thanks, that is the first thing he should check. Simple thing always bite you in the a**

Thanks for the advice, first thing I did was make sure it was on speakers and not headphones! As I said in my original thread, when I go to settings, there simply is no fade adjustment in the options. Hence my original question.(Wondering)

I hate to ask the obvious, are you able to scroll down. Because on mine its at the very bottom. If not, I agree with Fuzzy, your BoomBox may need to updated.

This actually happened to me with my 2010. Bought a reconditioned radio on Ebay for $100, had exactly the same issue. Took a meter to the rocker switches, all showed right. That's about all I really know about electrical, so it went to the dealer. Made sure they knew about the Ebay radio in a box in the tour pack.

Turns out there's a built in amp in the radio that went bad, and it's pretty common, or so they tell me. Ebay radio apparently had the same issue. Cost me $600 to replace with another reconditioned from Iron Cross in South Carolina, 3yr warranty on the radio, 1yr on the labor and I was back on the road. Iron Cross gave me $150 for the Ebay radio for parts so that end worked out.

Probably not much help, but Iron Cross is someone I'd deal with again, so there's my .02
