well my 2012 trike has a factory karmon hedron (something like that) stereo in it and its output is dead.. i did find some output chips for it but the way its made , it was never meant to be repaired,,, double sided circuit board are a pain.. and i believe they are out of production now..
so that leaves me with the question what do i replace it with.. i dont need the CB or weather channel stuff.. just a CD and radio would be fine but it has to fill the hole left by the factory one..
i wouldnt mind an aux input for an ipod or whatever but thats not vital just reliable sound that hooks up to the speakers would do...
is there any aftermarket replacement units i could look into that fill the space???
anyone got any other suggestions??
i dont want to spend a fortune
all thoughts appreciated.

Iron Cross Audio will do a complete overhaul for $250.00

They can also add Bluetooth, Pre-Amp outs and many other options

Just got my radio back from Iron Cross today. The output was screwed up on mine. Guess it was an HK known problem. But like everything else Harley lets it die before they'll do anything about it. AND guess who's warranty ran out 2 months ago... reinstalling it this weekend.

IC corrected the output problem and added the updates for, as indicated, $250.00.

Biketronics and Vtwin audio both make kits to install aftermarket radios into your glide. There is another one but having senior moment and can't remember who. They let you install most aftermarket radios, I prefer Sony cause it's quality and many features for under $200, and still retain you handlebar controls.

There are hundreds of aftermarket replacement radios. Check with your favorite mfg. and see what they have. ThumbUp
The only problem I have with aftermarket radios is, with most if not all of 'em, you lose your handlebar control switches.

What don't you have any friends to talk on your ride if you don't have a CB you know we will talk about you this summer.

ok digging this one up again .. thanks Keystone for the link...i checked the link , but they dont sell to australia. so i found other sellers of the same product but the details vary...
many say it doesnt work with a bike equipped with 4 speakers..
some say the volume doesnt work off the throttle.
i did find other makes that are supposed to fit but there always seems doubt about trikes/4 speakers
does anyone have an after market unit that they know works with the trike for sure?? that isnt from Amazon..
its time i fixed this thing..

also it doesnt play cds
