Tri Glide Running Boards

I like em too! Lehman is now an official TrikeTalk.com sponsor and is sending us a complete press release and photos of the running boards shortly. I will post these when I receive them. ThumbUp

P.S.- If you order these, please tell them you saw 'em on TrikeTalk.com

I am looking forward to the photos but from what I have seen they look good..

I love them! I will watch for the photos etc...........thanks for letting us know about them, I have seen running boards on other trikes and was hoping they would make them for the Tri-Glide........

I installed the Champion lower accent panels on my Ultra last summer. They look good and spruce up the area between the lower fairings and rear fender.....sort of tie everything together. The biggest benefit however, is they keep dings and road grime off the rear fender. Also provide a great place to attach ground effects lighting and they have built in turn signals and running lights on the forward ends.

Do you think they will make the trike hotter? Like hold even more heat in?

I really don't think it'll make that much difference...might a lilttle.
I still want them though....if it became that much of an issue, I would take the lowers off first, more air lcoming from the front anyway...but, what do I know :D

Heres the pics Lehman sent me. I think they look really sharp. I just installed a set of their running boards on an '08 GL1800 Lehman Trike and I'll tell you they are the sturdiest built running boards on the market. They have a steel frame that the boards mount to that make them super sturdy when mounting the trike. See the full press release in "Bike & Trike News" at the top of the forum.

I notice that the price listed is now 968 a pair....thats a good bit better, hopefully if they come to the June rally we'll be able to see them in person...... no wait....... that would just mean I'd have to buy a pair !

The price you seen is for non painted set. The painted set are 1298.00

That is what I have read about these running boards.

Looks like they would help with protecting the back fenders. I just worry about the heat. Hope someone tries them soon on the TG. So who wants to be the guinea pig????

Don't see how they would be any different on a Triglide than on an Ultra conversion. I haven't noticed any difference in heat at all since installing them. I'm going to run without the lower fairings this summer but that has nothing to do with the running boards. I installed a Heavy Breather Air Cleaner that was supposed to fit with lower fairings but the front end of the filter is touching the glove box on the right side lower fairing. I've spent a ton of cash trying to cool this beast down even when it was on two wheels and it's still miserable in stop and go traffic. Bottom line......I don't think you would notice any increase in felt heat as a result of installing running boards on a Triglide.

:)I am ordering mine next week........stopped in my dealership today and I have the Sunglo Red 09 which Lehman says:laugh: is 3 different shades actually, they need the VIN number to ensure you get the right color and they have them in stock and can ship them in five days, only problem is I still have snow leading up to and over my ramp to my shed so I will order them as soon as the snow melts so I can get the trike out to ride to the dealership, I think they will look great and will let you know how they turn out.........

I bought mine through Worth HD. The price quoted was 1298 plus 45 shipping. I hope to use my ten percent discount because that is where I purchased the trike at. I will post pics when done, but I am still on dialup so I will have to check my sundial to figure a good time to upload the 35mm slides ;)

What was the color of your bike?

Blue flame with silver pearl accent. I ride with the lower vents open all the time. The heat is not bothersome to me but I will let you know how it feels.

:BootieShake:

Anyone try these yet from Lehman to the Tri Glides??

I called my dealer and ordered the running boards. The dealer calls me back to tell me they are another 260 bucks on top of the 1298 because of the color of my bike.
As far as I am concerned that is misleading for Lehman to state 998 for unpainted and 1298 for painted. There is no mention of additiional cost for certain paint colors.

Here is the pricing for all the colors. For those of us that have the Red Sun Glo paint we will pay more. Read Below

Thank you for your interest in Lehman Trikes, the Leader of the Three World. Here is a list of the M.S.R.P.'s for the 09-10 Hawg EFX:

Vivid Black, Flame Blue, Dark Blue $330
Red Hot Sunglo $560
