I had the Cool flow fan installed on my 2019 Tri- glide two months ago, Recently Ive noticed a lot more heat coming from the seat area. Any input is greatly appreciated .

Noticed the same thing at slow speeds after I put on my LoveJugs.

I think the fans are forcing all the hot air to the right side of motor, where it gets trapped by the heat deflectors.

You could try removing the right side heat deflector.

I stand corrected. Make it the LEFT side heat deflector.

I removed the left side that gives the heat somewhere to exit. Passenger says it has really helped20190406_122848.jpg

I removed both of mine to me it seems like a big heat trap, my e t on the p v runs about 250, the oil is about 210, water most of the time 170, I put on a ultra cool oil cooler with the fans ,had to cut the left lower fairing for it to fit. I think if you can keep the oil under 230 the motor will be fine ?

I have the oil cooler and Mighty Mites. Your suppose to remove the left side, so all the air trapped by the right will flow out the left and not tumble behind the rear cylinder.

You need to check with Fuelmoto concerning your tune. Running 70mph in 98 degree weather, I never get above 215. My oil with the oil cooler runs around 200-205 degrees. Of course I am running 16 Tri 103. Just making a suggestion!

Ideal oil temp would be 190 to 220

Keeping the oil under 230 is great. Here's a video on the subject-

Oil cooler is not affected by removing the left side thigh protector....well, in theory it will work a little better with the left side thigh protector removed (since it will create a little more flow along the left side, thus sucking more air thru the cooler) but in practicality the improvement is smaller than can be noticed.

The reasons for removing the left side and not the right-

-The purpose of the thigh protector is to keep heat off the rider. There is more heat on the right side than the left, so better to leave it in place.

-If you look at the obstructions behind the rear cylinder, and to the sides of the rear cylinder, you will see the air will flow more smoothly (faster, more effective) from right to left than left to right.

Cool fan

Hey Road Dog, how much of the left lower did you have to cut to get it to fit??

Was thinking of adding one but wasn't sure if it would help that much.

Thanks, Hhardrock
