Took a Little Ride

So. Ca
I've been riding motorcycles for over 40 years, but relatively new to the Tri Glide. I Had an opportunity to take the trike on its first long ride a couple of weeks ago. This was a great test of the vehicle, it's capabilities and my ability to effectively use the cargo space. I had plenty of roadway and weather changes from wind, rain and some twisties. At the conclusion of just over 700 miles, I am very satisfied with my choice to buy a Tri Glide.

With 6583 miles in 166 days of ownership .... :Agree: It is an impressive machine!
43 years of Harley ownership and this is the best one so far.

Winter is just about here in PA. My rides are NEVER put away. They are just in stand-by mode. :D

Never owned or ridden a Harley, but I'm happy that you are enjoying your TG. It looks like a great trike and should give you many years of touring fun. Ride safe! :Dorag::10:

:Agree::Agree: ... I keep getting more impressed with every ride. Just a few things I've noticed lately ...

1. TriGlide has to be the easiest trike to ride and to learn on. The lowers that hold the Project Rushmore cooling system are placed just right in the line of sight so that a quick glance gives you a great indication of your placement within your lane making curves a piece of cake.

2. The size is just perfect! Even on narrow mountain roads (paths may be a better word), it is easy to grab just a little bit of a driveway and then do a U-turn. Makes for a great exploring machine.

3. Gotta love the foot operated parking brake. We have a steep driveway all the way up to the garage. This makes it easy to stop on the hill, find neutral, jab the parking brake and then dig out the remote control from the media pocket. I also use it for a quick stop at the post office when I'm parked on a hill ... Leave it in neutral, jab the brake, and tell Miriam to just grab the right hand brake if it moves. So far, it just works as designed.

4. Love how it still manages to feel so motorcycle like! :D

JB, Glad to hear you have adapted to that third wheel.
HD actually builds a nice ride. You'll read some horror stories but for the most part the reviews are very positive. I agree with you, the Tri Glide handles the road & weather well. I have been riding since 1967 and finally went to 3 wheels in June of 013 with a TriGlide. Should have done it sooner. I have about 19,700 on her now and have enjoyed every mile. So far no issues other than my radio speaker switch went bad a month ago while I was on a cross country trip coast to coast.
Enjoy the ride and I am sure that you can find someone on this sit to help with any questions. There are some great guys with tons of experience on here.
