Tire Pressure?

My Goldwing with 2014 Motor Trike Adventure manual recommends the rear tires be inflated to 24 lbs. But when I look on the 225 60R15 tire it says 44 lbs max. Based on that it seems to me the pressure should be closer to 44, no? This trike is new to me and this is my first pressure check. Anyone else have 225 60R15?? Help!?

By the way, they have 26.5 in both tires now.

The pressure marked on the tire is rated for a car.

Your no where near that weight. 44psi would make your trike ride like a rock.

I run 24psi on my RSV/Hannigan.

The 44 PSI is Maximum PSI for the tire not the vehicle. For safety reasons when inflating the tire.....

I too have the MT and it rides best for me at 24lbs as recommended by MT tech. who I talked with after installation.

I've run my RS rear tire inflation from 22 to 32, finally settled on 30 psi, works for me. Front is 41 psi. I ride two up all the time, not that it matters for this discussion. Not heavy weights, not skinny lite weights either.

Rode today with 24 vs 26.5... I'm surprised that little of a change made a difference but it did. Think I'll keep it there.
