The windshield on my new to me GW/RS was sufficiently goobered up to be needing a replacement sometime.
I am thinking about the F4 in a +4" size for better wind management for me and the wife. But, I am intrigued by the option of a tinted windshield.

Some say they love the tint as it cuts down the glare during the day and headlights at night. Others said it was darker than they liked at night though.

I'd hate to buy an expensive shield and found that it was too dark at night, although my night vision seems okay.
I do wear glasses and it would be nice to lose the clip-ons on sunny days?

Any experience with tinted windshields or the F4 tinted shields and how do you like them?

For that reason alone I would have to say Nay. & would it be dark enough to lose the clip-on?
I ditched the clipons years ago & go with the full slide over glasses. There so comfortable you don't even know your wearing 2 pair. My 2 cents.....

It depends.....If you look over the windshield is doesn't matter tinted or not...I had tinted windscreens on all of my sport bikes, ''For style'' , And i always looked over them as well with my T/G's...A Good pair of sunglasses and since the advent of pop up sunscreens on helmets is all i ever needed riding during the day...

Some time ago, I was doing a road trip with my brothers. One of them borrowed a Harley from a friend that had a tinted windshield. He hated it. We got a lot of rain on that trip. Once it started to get dark, with the rain, it was almost impossible to see through. He was basically driving blind. We had to stop whenever that happened...

light tint for us however I look over the windscreen a flat top by far the best for us. The short funny looking one may be dark tint not sure. :good:ride safe Fred

Bell helmets makes them. I bought mine at a World Superbike Race at Laguna Seca California. It goes from very light to a dark tint as quickly as eyeglasses do. Love it!

I personally am not a fan of tinted windshields. I like a windshield that I look over the top of, but during rainstorms, I get a little down and look through it and I prefer a clear windshield for that. At night, I prefer clear even more.
