The Trike Shop, Datona Beach

The Daytona Trike Shop facility is run by Dick and Helen, they started the Trike Shop in 1972. They "retired" to Florida and son Doug took over the main business of The Trike Shop, makers of the Roadsmith conversions, based in Minnesota. If you get a Roadsmith conversion with The Trike Shop of Daytona Beach you are basically dealing with the factory.
Good Folks.

Thanks, Ozark, that information is what I'm looking for. I want confidence in my installer, and you've pretty much given me that.

We are very happy to have Roadsmith as a sponsor here, and The Trike Shop is a very big part of the Roadsmith family, for sure! I think you will have every reason to expect a great experience as you work with them.

Unfortunately, I did not use them to convert my trike. However, if I was converting today they would be my first choice. I can tell you this based on numerous conversations with Dick about his design features and the level of talent he employs.

Your post, as well as others, speaks volumes. Read a lot about trikes, the basic, select a good installer. That's what I'm doing here with your help. Thanks.

Ditto!!!! ThumbUp

I have experience with The Trike Shop of Daytona having first bought a conversion kit which came from the Minn. factory then buying a Trike from them which also was built at the factory then shipped to the shop. Have been very happy with both purchases.

Had my GL1800 done this past January at The Trike Shop in Daytona .. They are the
premier conversion site in the whole Roadsmith complex as far as I am concerned .. Mary
Foss is an awesome manager, Dick and Helen come in several times a week to conduct
business .. Niles is new tech and still learning but he has gobs of experience .. Dan, is
awesome .. They have my full support and backing, even on simple fixes .. They have
the time, they git-r-done ... Stop in to get hugs from Mary every time we are down
there .... AWESOME SHOP !!!!!!

I was able to visit this shop last winter. It is a wonderful place. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Great folks, too!

For those who did not get the word .. Dick retired last week ... They combined the showroom at Destinations to the main facility on Beach Street ... So now they are in one
facility .. If the shop next door to them on Beach would just move, they could take it over and have a great showroom area .. Life goes on .. Mary still running the show for the most part .. Said they were working on 5 conversions to get out before Christmas .. Someone is going to have a wonderful Christmas ...

Not sure mine is one of the five before Christmas, but it's in the hopper. I'm looking forward to that whenever it happens. Hello push/pull riding, a sad goodbye to the counter steer lean.
